About

Hi, I’m Michael S Cox and I live and work in beautiful Sydney, Australia.

I welcome you to my professional blog, where I intend to challenge to status-quo of many incumbent business approaches and technical thinking. I’m not a prolific blogger, as I will only blog about something when I feel I can add substantial value or insight to the subject. As such, I welcome comments and feedback, especially where they also add to and/or illuminate some of the discussion topics. Most importantly, if I’m wrong–then tell me so, please!

This blog is intended to demonstrate that there is both elegance and beauty in complexity; and that many natural systems inherently contain necessary complexity. It is my personal belief, that all too often we over simplify problems and solutions in our attempt to understand and model them. As a direct result, we miss much of the intricate and subtle details that exist. Thus I’m aiming for a much deeper understanding of many things that others simply take for granted or dismiss as unimportant or ‘too hard’.

Professionally, I’m often caught working as a Systems or Network Architect, although I prefer to think of myself as more of an entrepreneur, seeking out new opportunities wherever I can find them. For more information about me professionally, please visit my LinkedIn profile page.

Personally, I enjoy kayaking, cycling, gardening and swimming in the fantastic Australian surf. For more information about me personally then feel free to visit my Facebook page.
